Som Lalit School’s Annual Function, Solace 2024-25, held on December 27th and 28th, was a vibrant celebration of student talent and core values through the themes Sambandh, Saahas and Sangharsh. Sambandh highlighted the beauty of relationships—friendship, family, nature and festivals—through heartfelt performances by students and spirited participation from parents. Saahas ignited the spirit of courage with a dynamic show featuring tributes to national heroes, sports icons and cultural legends, brought to life through music, dance, acrobatics, and a spirited qawwali. Sangharsh addressed real-world challenges like child labor, disability, environmental issues and women’s empowerment through powerful student acts, graceful yoga displays and a moving performance by teachers. The event concluded with the national anthem, uniting everyone in pride and gratitude. Solace 2024-25 was a memorable showcase of compassion, bravery and perseverance.
Som Lalit School celebrated Republic Day with a vibrant Cyclothon on 26th January, promoting fitness, unity and national pride. Excitement began with kit distribution, as participants received T-shirts, bibs and discount coupons. The event offered 8 km and 17 km cycling categories, flagged off by Trustee Mr. Pragnesh K. Shastri and Executive Director Ms. Meenaxi Shastri. A lively Zumba session set the tone before riders embarked on their journey, supported by hydration stations throughout the route.
The event saw overwhelming participation from students, parents, teachers along with members of the general public, making it an inclusive awareness initiative. Finishers were awarded medals, e-certificates and enjoyed a selfie booth and snacks post-ride. A charity drive added meaningful impact, while the day concluded with a patriotic flag hoisting and the National Anthem. More than a cycling event, it was a celebration of health, unity and nationhood—truly a ride for a stronger, healthier India.

To inculcate leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of leaders and a sense of responsibility, the “New Student Council” was formed with the proper election procedure held in July.
On the fine morning of 30th September, deserving young talents of the School were bestowed with the responsibility of leading the School from the front with their commitment, confidence, and competence.
The new council was introduced formally and later they were conferred upon official sashes and badges by the Executive Director Dr. Bhavesh Shastri and Managing Co-ordinator Ms. Bena Shastri. The student council took the pledge with their hand across their heart, to hold the school flag in high esteem. After congratulating the new student leaders, the School Principal – Ms. Leena Arora gave them a valuable message to hold their integrity throughout their lives and wished them good luck for their future endeavours. The ceremony ended with National Anthem.
A proud moment as our newly-elected student council donned their sashes and badges. The solemn oath, administered by the Principal, marked the start of a year dedicated to leadership, service, and the Somlalit spirit of excellence.
