Manali Memories: Where Adventure Meets Serenity
The field trip to Manali was a transformative experience for Som Lalit students. Nestled in the Himalayas, the journey blended adventure, reflection and camaraderie. From trekking misty trails and crossing icy rivers to peaceful meditation sessions in nature, every moment was unforgettable.
Organized in collaboration with Flamingo Travels, the trip fostered teamwork, adaptability and resilience. Students returned enriched—with lasting memories, valuable life lessons and deeper connections.

Cyclothon : For the cause of Health Awareness and Charity
On 26th January, Som Lalit School hosted a vibrant Cyclothon celebrating fitness, unity and national pride. With 8 km and 17 km routes, the event welcomed students, parents, teachers and the public. The day began with an energetic Zumba session and a grand flag-off by our esteemed trustees. A meaningful charity drive added depth to the event, reinforcing the values of health, community and compassion. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem and flag hoisting, making it a truly inspiring and patriotic experience.

YOU MUST BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD
‘BE RESPONSIBLE’ –
CSR– Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of the Som-Lalit School. CSR activities create awareness in our students for the community and environment with great commitment. Keeping this in mind, many activities were conducted with the wholehearted support of our parents.

Students of class VI-A visited ‘Matoshree Old Age Home’ situated at Akhbarnagar on 30th April to spend quality time with elderly people and learn some essential life lessons. They also donated some rations to the old age home.
To spread the message of fitness among city residents and fuel consumption awareness, a small bicycle campaign – Inspiring Change was held on 30th April for our enthusiastic parents who covered almost 7 Km. The event culminated with a small fitness and relaxation session.
In association with the White Cross Blood bank, the school also organized a blood donation camp on 2nd July. A certificate of appreciation, a donor card, a gift and some refreshments were given to each donor as a token of gratitude.
According to the UN, 80 million people out of 1.2 billion Indians live below the poverty line and face hard times getting 1-time meals daily. On account of this issue, Som – Lalit School collaborated with the project – ‘Ek Mutthi Annadan’, and collected over 250 Kg of wheat and rice which were donated to NGOs dedicated to the well-being of the impoverished.
During the celebration of Rashtriya Poshan Maah, the ‘Joy of giving’ was also experienced by our students by feeding the underprivileged children and spreading smiles on innocent little faces during the last week of September.
